I became convinced that the collective mind is real when I heard Christians using memes to transmit information and to focus attention in a group. Christians also use this meme-transmission tactic to try to convince others to adopt their way of life.
The most obvious memes that Christians use—Christ, God, healing, love—should be obvious to anyone who has listened to them speak and talk about their beliefs.
I believe that memes are the key to open one’s mind to the collective. And maybe the collective mind is what the prophet Isaiah alludes to:
35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
35:6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. (Source)
(Because when you hear the collective sing, words fail you.)
Christian memes transmit feelings and emotions. But I conjecture that memes can also be used to transmit rational thought.
How would (one 1 one) test that conjecture?
